Newbie question

I have an ignorant question. I'm new to lifting and all of that. What exactly is the difference between a suspension lift and a body lift? What is each for? It seems people on here prefer suspension lifts?

I think I finally realized what the difference is. A body lift you're lifting the body off of the frame? Suspension lift your lifting the suspension so the result is lifting the whole vehicle frame and all?
