Newbie question

can someone tell me what this part is, its on the side of the explorer underneath. Do they need to be replaced or greased? Well I cant post attachments but its a round rubber piece and they are along both sides of the explorer underneath. I have a 97 sport

i think you're referring to the body mounts. they support/cushion the body on the truck frame. you can't really grease them. they tend to deteriorate over time and you will probably need to replace them.
