Hello to all the Fordies out there! My wife has a 1999 Sport 4X4 that she just loves. The kids call it the "Green Monster". I now have permission to do a few mods to it and stumbled across this great forum looking for ideas and how-tos. I'll post some pics as I make changes.

My wife just drives it back and forth to work and errands. I'm trying to get better gas mileage out of it, so I plan to:

Remove roof rack crossbars
Remove step bars (rusted out)
Lower it 1 or 2" and level it (Why do the noses always point into the air?)
Add some type of front air dam

Right now she averages just under 18 MPG. The short range goal is 20.

I've just used the site to figure out and reprogram the keyless entry code. :thumbsup:

The lowering look like a snap with the detailed threads here.

I'll keep you posted. :salute:
