no 4x4

1993 EX Sport, started out I could use high 4x4, if I pushed the low range button the 4x4 lights went out and I think it went out of 4x4. there was a clicking sound after the usual clunk going into 4x4.
Now I have no lights for 4x4 nor does it do anything when pushing the buttons. Any help?

What he said.
The whole reason I originally joined this forum was to find out how to fix the 4x4 on the 94 Ex I had just bought for winter duties.
Turned out it was the shift motor.
Took 20 minutes to swap out. I bought mine on Ebay for under $70 shipped.

I think it cost me maybe an hour to take it off, apart, replace the little bumper with 1" of rubber hose and put it all back together.
