No Audio After Start-Up

Looking at the screen, when I go to "WiFi"settings, it is set to "on". Then, there's "view available network". I can't see my network so I try to enter it manually. There's a security question, is system "open" or "closed". I tried both and can't get the connection. So my question is, will I get updates thru other available networks ( there are always a few ) or do I have to have my personal WiFi connected?

I would think that if it cannot 'see' your network then it entering "Open" or 'Closed" likely won't matter since as far as the vehicle is concerned, there is nothing to connect to. BTW, mine updates while parked in the garage. You could always try using a WiFi extender as Dale has but seeing as how you are picking up several neighbouring networks, that may not be the issue.
