Hey guys wonder if anyone can point me in a direction here, im a little stumped. I checked all the brake lamp fuses (acutally just the brake pedal position fuses), and they checked fine on the meter. I did not check the lamp fuses cause all three lamps in the back are not coming on.

could the switch have failed? i can hear the switch clicking when you depress the brake, the harness is on there good and tight. not sure what else i can check, or how to check the switch itself??

so the stop lights L and R, and the High mount does not work... the parking lamps (rear) DO work. the truck does have the factory tow package. (not sure of that matters).

thanks again!

there is a strong possibility it is the switch.
Easy fix.
Not sure about the part cost. I would imagine it is not too much.

i'll take a crack at it, how do you get that switch off the bolt that goes through the brake pedal? i took out the yellow safety pin, but i cant budge that bolt? there is what looks like solder, or a blob of something metal that appears to be securing the bolt in. so im smacking the side i took the safety pin out of with a hammer and the bolt isnt budging. how do i get the switch out?

couldnt get the pin to budge to remove the switch, had to go to the dealer. dealer did it, replaced the switch, everything works now... 150 bones :(

$150 bones?!?!?! For a $12 switch?!?! Did they at least give you a reach-around with that?! Ouch!
