New water pump
New thermostat
Flushed and burped system
No leaks

Vehicle runs at perfect temperature.

Pulled heater core. Flushed and checked for leaks. No problems.

NOW:

At operating temp, both heater core hoses are COLD. For the life of me, I can't figure out why coolant isn't getting through those hoses. I know on some year Explorers, there is a type of heater vacuum control valve, but mine doesn't have that. It's just one hose in, one hose out. Both hoses are cold.

I'm completely lost. It's been pretty cold lately, and some heat would be nice!

Hmm, I assume the fan switch in the car is working on all settings? is the radiator getting hot, are the hoses to and from the radiater also getting hot?
The usual way is to flush, fill and run the engine till the fan cuts in and out a few times with the heater in the car set to hot so the flow bleeds the air out of that also, think you got an air lock in the system still mate-

Fan switch works, but only on the highest setting; but it still works.

Rad hoses, both to and from, are hot.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to get more of the air out. So aggravating!

there is a coolant diverter valve in the lines, just by the firewall, check that , it may be bypassing the heater core,
