No keyless entry ?

I just bought a 2001 Exolorer Sport but it didn't come with a keyless remote entry. Did it come with one from the factory? Also the ingnition key doesn't work the doors. How do I check ? vin # ?

Turn the key to the on position and off quickly 8 times. If the door locks cycle, you can add keyless entry, otherwise, it didn't come with it.

Thanks, I checked the vin and it came up keyless entry, not remote entry. I"ll check the other tip later anyway for kicks. The web site was sweet . lots of info.
