- '91 4dr XLT 4x4 5-speed
Hello all, just purchased my fifth ex today (3 1st gens and 1 2nd gen prior). A nice lil '91 XLT 5-speed 4x4, black w/red interior. Been watching the forum in the past with and for my past ex's. You all have helped my DIY excursions in the past, but now its time for me to get off the bench and into the game. Right now my new baby needs some TLC.
Here's a list of things I'm looking to take care of ASAP:
Valve tapping issue
^^^Possibly related, heavy blueish/grey smoke out exhaust
Window regulator repair/replace--motors are good
Defroster repair and rear wiper repair
Bucket seat swap--kinda sucks it came with the bench AND the red interior is HARD to find, especially powered for a 91
Future plans:
Complete audio overhaul--can't afford a fast hauler but I can support a LOUD one!!!
Overhead console install--cuz they're cool
Headlight projector mod w/led's--1st time
Tail light led mod--1st time
New custom grill
Restore the body--bad rocker panel rust, besides the dings and scratches
Might do a slight drop-haven't really decided yet
Possible digital dash swap
Very possible trip minder install--diggin the LiKuiD post!!!!
As you can see I've got plenty of work ahead of me.
I'll keep you posted.
