no power in cd deck...

so as im typing this i am in the process of installing my new cd player.
i have all the wires connected from the cd player to the wire harness. everything matches and everything is secure... i put everything in my truck and connect the harness to the one that used to connect to my stock cdplayer/tape deck. however there is still one left that i assume was for just the tape deck...
im not getting any power to the cd player, nothing comes on the screen and it will not accept a cd...
please help out in any way as my cd player is laying all over my table right now..

i'd double check the connections...and make sure your key is in the ACC or ON position.

Check your fuse box also... when installing some components on my latest setup i blew one of the 20amp radio fuses...
