- 2003 explorer eddie bauer
Good morning, another day, another issue.
I've a 2003 Ford Explorer, 4.0, 115K miles.
Issue: Hearing noise (difficult to describe) when applying brake pedal when shifting to drive.
Can this be a loose caliper bracket? bad stabilizer links? bad strut mounts?
lower ball joints?
Parts Replaced As of today.....upper balljoints/control arms, rear u-joints, hub bearings, pinion seal at rear end, motor mounts are good and tight
Vehicle rides very good, no bouncing while taking off, just hear noise when applying brakes.
Any ideas on a good way to check stabilizer/sway bar links and strut mounts or how to determine they are defective?
Have any of you had this problem with your Explorer?
Thanks
