No sure if this is the right spot for this thread, so mods, move it if it is and let me know.
2000 Exploder SE Automatic 6cyl, 74,015 miles.
O/D light is flashing. Checked the manual, it says to have the tranny checked.
I can't say it goes on in conjunction with a specific event, but the trans has been warm the 5 times it's happened over the past 4 days.
If I turn the truck off, it resets it.
It seems when it goes on, the trans wont downshift, or doesnt want to. Trans computer going bad maybe?
I checked my trans fluid, its good, and level is fine.
Trans has been starting to slip a touch over the past month or so. This is new, and I dont want to drive long distances and worry about something going boom, and leaving me stranded with a puddle of gears under the truck.
Anyone?????
