My o/d off light started flashing in my truck. Unfortunately we needed a new transmission. After replacing it,the o/d off light is continuing to flash. What could be causing it? We know the new transmission is good.

Was the new trans the same as the old one? What size engine do you have and what transmission do you have? The more info you give us the more we can help you diagnose the problem. Could be as simple as a loose connection or resetting error codes.

Yes it was the same tranny,it's a 4.0 The new one is slipping a little also.

Flashing OD normally means it's in "Limp mode".

When they get hot, it will trigger that overdrive light.

Check your fluid level in the trans, to make sure its filled.

Was the torque converter replaced with the trans swap? Properly filled before install?

Drive it around for awhile to heat up transmission and check fluid level with engine running. This will assure that the fluid gets into all the passages.

Flashing OD light = manufacture specific code is in memory, you need to pull the code. It will tell you where to look
