hello... first post in this site. thanks. lots of info..
-2001 exp explorer...
need smog for regist.
check engine light is on.... scanner won't read- no power to obd input (lower right hand pin, was what i was told..)...
checked all fuses and found out that fuse #5 missing.
removed #1 fuse (manual says they are both 10 amp, #1 is just for power mirrors.. thought would be ok until i get to store to buy some more.)
however--- all fuses that should be 10 amp according to manual are all 7.5 amp in the actual panel..
check engine light still on after a few engine start ups...
could this be the real problem or should i switch out all 7.5's for 10's?
or-- could power have been restored, and i just need to take in for another scan??
