my 94 shifts well enough apart from perfection of manual shifting will go into 4x4 and apart from sloppy hubs will also go into 4x4 low I am thinking about a small trailer for a small boat or utils but i am concerned as when im in 4x4 low and in D Drive the truck seems to shift rather quickly through the gears it seems to fast to go through the gears 1st and 2nd are fine by themselves havnt hooked up a load is that normal to quickly go through 1st and second? how is the truck supposed to react to D and OD in 4x4 low?
I often keep the truck in D during normal driving gives me control and i dont worry about it slipping into OD when only traveling 45 to 50 gives me more control but low gear is a question I havnt tried towing anything yet or climbing around on hills waiting to get my auto hubs tightened down a bad sign is ive noticed that the trucks tow ball is missing i thought it might be the result of rusted bumper and that someone didnt want to chance leaving it behind but mabe the truck isnt performing well in 4x4 low
