Ohv 4.0 Pcv

Where is the PCV valve on the OHV 4.0?
I have searched for it and cannot see it anywhere. I thought it would be below the DPFE, but it is not.
Also in the process of checking, replacing parts, I snapped the plasitc hoses that feed the EGR Solenoid. Anyone know where i can get replacements?

Dorman sells plastic tubing. Any auto parts store should have it. I have some links in # 11 in my list of useful threads for the location of the PCV valve.

Thanks for the quick reply. You have always recommended useful links in the past, much appreciated. I will check again for the PCV. Is there any chance that it missing? or that the tube has disconnected completely?

Misfire

Cylinder 4 is misfiring. i replaced DPFE which made it a bit better.
wont run right...need to replace what i can and diagnose the problem ASAP.

Check the ignition system (plugs, wires, coil pack, sensors, etc). Do a compression test too. Check this thread: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204909

Pep Boys has the hose for about $3 foot. Ask for 1/4" (6.35mm) Dayco Gen2 Fuel Injection Hose. This hose is heat treated so it should last a long time.

When you replace the PCV, check the hose elbow for wear.
