- 2008 Ford Explorer XLT
I just had my harmonic balancer replaced, at a local repair shop, on my 2008 XLT Explorer.
145,000 on the clock.
Now I have a very very slow oil "drip" from the two bolts right in front of the oil pan.
Does any body know what these two bolts are holding internally inside the engine?
Can they be tighten without doing any harm?
Also, I have an odd rear end squeak when making turns only, both directions.
It's not loud and happens intermittently.
It started after I quickly hit the brakes on the expressway towing my boat.
The boat is not very heavy at all. A 14'er with a 20 merc on the back.
My hitting the brakes was somewhat jarring.
I've WD40ed the entire rear suspension and rinsed the rear suspension off after driving it around.
I've gone through 40 pages of threads in this section and haven't come across anything helpful yet.
Any input would be appreciated.
