Oil leak and unknown hole underneath

Hey everyone
Today, during a random look under the car i saw this leak and and noticed a hole(in the pictures)

Is the hole supposed to be there? Maybe I didn’t see it when it was dry.
Must add that I don’t see an active leak, nothing is dripping and there are no puddles under the car in the parking spot.
What might be the source of the leak?

Looks to be an inspection hole but I'm not familiar with the 3.5L

It appears to me that it is just a gap that is supposed to be there. What is directly above it? Is it motor oil?

Feels like motor oil, can’t be certain though
I cleaned it a bit, looks like an intended hole, still the oil is worrying
