Oil leak?

So I’ve thought for the longest time that o was leaking trans oil but the seems we’re the gasket sits on the trans pan are dry but the bottom of the pan is wet with trans oil do any of y’all know what could be leaking?

Follow the path of wetness forward, and upward. Most leaks are found by tracing the wetness from the back, and the dry area in front of and above them. Usually there's more than one leak, so go slow and be patient.

The rear main seal is a regular oil leak, the front main seal too, so check carefully above and in front of both of those.
 






if it's motor oil it could be leaking from the valve covers or rear main seal.

If it's trans fluid it could be the front pump/torque converter seal.
