Oil level sensor.

So I just got my crate motor for my truck and it doesnt come with the oil level sensor, or even the plug for it in the new harness. The Eddie Bauer I'm putting it in had it, but my XLT doesnt. Does anyone know if this is just for that little computer in the center console or does the PCM actualy wanna see this?

It is just for the message center in the console. You could swap pans with your original motor to keep it working if the oil pickups are the same.

Excellent, I'm not keeping the message center anyway so no need to change the pan.
