Does the oil life sensor just go by the mileage after it has been reset or does it actually monitor the viscosity and quality of the oil? I have been using Mobil-1 High range oil "15k miles" because I drive a lot . I never go that far on it but the change oil light comes on at around 4k miles. Should I trust it or go by the claims of Mobil-1
