Oil Pan Removal

Hello, I have a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer and I am trying to remove the oil pan. I was wondering if anyone on here might have some pictures or a video of how to do this. My truck is a 5.0L AWD. Thanks a lot.

I could be mistaken but I believe you have to pull the engine to remove the oil pan.

1. Pull the engine out.
2. Remove oil pan.

Or

1. Remove front end.
2. Disconnect exhaust headers.
3. Lift the engine 4" to clear the steering rack
4. Remove oil pan.
