Umm, not exactly... with the 44-05, there was never a manual shift option. Sure you could gut the motor like some of you 13-54 users have, but I'd be reluctant to suggest a guy in Australia be the guinea pig for that one (parts are hard enough to find down there!)
UM no actually its quite simple to gut any Ford shift motor and make the T case manually actuated.....I have to date seen 4 different ways of doing this, ionly one way required using the guts of a shift motor, the others were pretty ingenious, the mcneil truck simply uses a piece of cable
I personaly love my pushbutton, but I think in his case it may be easier to do this then try to locate another GEM and hope it works...etc
I can help with a copy of the ford wiring diag. cd if you need it , just get me an address to send it to , it is american so things are a little different but the functions are all the same just placement is a bit off . Hope it helps , before you burn it !!!
