....9145 ???

I had a post earlier about replacing my foglight bulbs with some yellow H1s. Well, today I decided to pull one of the bulbs to see, and it turns out it is not an H1, but a sylvania 9145. I have never heard of this before. It looks like a 9005 bulb, but it is only 55w, not 100 like most 9005.

Anyone know where I can find a replacement 9145? I have checked all the lighting websites so far and nothing at all. I am stumped

i switched my 9145 ******* ford bulb, to a standard 9005 high beam.

btw a stock 9005 is 60watt, not 100 watt.

have you switched your headlight bulbs yet?

i put in silverstars [9006 & 9005], then i used my factory 9005 as my fog bulb.

there is a slight difference to the fitting [plastic] ring.
you will have to either trim the middle tab [on bulb] or slowly, carefully work it in to the fog light.

some people have suggested modifying the fit ring on the fogger itself...

not me, if i ever go back to a 9145 i sure want it to be water tight.

i used one of my wife's nail files on my bulbs.

a piece of cake.

Thanks, that is the info I have been looking for. I assumed the 9005 were 100watt due to looking at numerous aftermarket sites and only seeing 100watt replacements.

I think I have found what I am looking for though. APC makes a yellow 9005 65w. I might pick em up and try it out.

The factory lights seem pretty bright to me already. I put the silverstars in my wifes accord and it was 1000% better than her factory lights. HMMMM, what size were hers again.

Only thing I have done is put my new ski racks on and tinted the front windows.

I am pretty much done doing a million things to my vehicles. I have lost so much money on my past few doing all the mods. The only things I might be doing is a billet upper and lower grille, and clear corners.

What have you done to yours? Are there any differences of mention between the 02 and 03? I cant find any parts listed for 03 yet, but there are a few for 02.

Thats funny, cause I did not put the rack on mine. It is sitting in my basement in boxes. I have it in the for sale section.

I have the exact truck that they show in the catalog, minus the roof rack.

starting in late 1998 ford started making a 4 door 'sport package'.

they have/had 16" wheels

step rail running boards

4.10 rear axles

'xlt' badges behind front tires on fender


in 1999 they were being equipted with the eddie bauer type 'fender flares'. these were grey instead of tan.

yeah the 02+ have a 4dr sport option as well, it includes:

Oh wow I never knew. I guess we almost bought a XLT sport then. When we went to get our explorer we wanted a wedgewood blue or the red color they offered. Our dealership 'asured' us that they would be getting in both eddie bauers in Blue and Red. Shipment comes, and they did not get any Eddie Bauers in . So we were checking out a black XLT sport and the eddie bauer that we ended up buying, and we have been pretty happy with our decision.

you are right, they stopped making "metallic" silver, but mine is just silver. They also had a "metallic grey" color, but it had a brownish tint to it.

what options do you have on your truck?

I have the v-6, 6-cd, rear climate controls, adjustable pedals, and tow package.

I also plan to keep it for a while, but I will probably be giving it to the wife in a couple of years and but another pickup

With the newer ones, there are 6 dfferent configurations for the 4 door.

XLS=base with no cladding and no 3rd seat option

XLT=silver cladding and some options

XLT Sport=grey cladding and 17" wheels standard

XLT NBX= 17" wheels, heavy duty skids, dark grey(looks black) cladding, rubber mats, and custom cloth interior

Eddie Bauer=pretty much same as past years

Limited= also pretty much the same as past years.

Yours looks exactly like mine. I cant tell from the pic if you have the grey cladding or the Blackish like mine.
