i know this is an Exploder forum, but the Ranger forums i've seen don't have much traffic, and there are only a handfull of posts here in the Ranger section.

us explorers rule ! ;-) actually i think most of the rangers hang out on the sites dedicated to their truck. i know there are a few ranger sites, and most of the people stay over there i presume. i always wondered why the ranger forum had so little activity?

the rangers that we do have are relatively great people. they invite us Xs on their runs and dont say our trucks suck like many other truck sites do (Xterras, jeeps and the like) they are also a knowledgable bunch too

I guess I'm one of the few who has both. A 95Ranger (4cyl-dual plug), and the Ex listed below. I go over to the Rangerstation for the 4-Banger forum and they have some good guy's there. I just like staying here because there are many similarities (like changing the plugs on either one is NO walk in the park) betwixt the 2. I found the Ex forum to be a little more informative (learn and apply) and it is organized MUCH better than the 4-Banger board.

Cool, another from Vegas. The best Ranger site I've found is the RRORC. Alot of stuff here applies to Rangers too. Welocome aboard!

I'm here...

I come to the Serious Explorations board often. I do spend most of my time over at the RRORC boards and the 4x4 ranger boards, but I have found real nice information and helpful people here (or is that the other way around - nice people/helpful info or both :D ).

The X's have so many things in common with the Rangers that alot of the information (and parts) is interchangeable.

I promise to let you all - Rangers AND Explorers - know about anu rides we have planned on our boards. And I appreciate the invites we have recieved from you folks at S.E.

add my name...

add my name to the list of people with Rangers... I haven't picked it up yet (it's at my parents'... used to be my little sister's...). I still have the mighty lemonEX too... hey, that would make a cool screenname... "LemonEX"... hmmmmm....

Yep, I've got my ears on!

I haven't been on this board in a while, but I'm still hanging around. This past weekend, my wife and I traveled w/another couple to Guadalupe Canyon in northern Baja, Mex. We took the Ranger [of course] being that the road into the campground was rugged, involving mild rock sections, and a tricky rock section to enter your campsite. We had a blast in our Ranger, and we'll be going back down to Baja in a few weeks. Here's a site showing my Ranger dueling the elements side by side w/an extreme Jeep CJ...

Hey Ken, glad to see you're still around! How's married life? Those Swampers look good, did you have those at Los Coyotes?

Marriage

Ranger X,

Married life is better than I thought it would be. Growing up, I thought my wife would turn into a nag after we signed the papers, but Suzanne is as great a person as when I met her. Some of her friends from school got married, and their husbands turned into raging *@*$)!'s leading them to get divorces a few years into their marriage. It can be interesting how this stuff plays out in our adult lives.
Anyhow, no - I did not take the trail down the hill in Los Coyotes due to the fact that I am now running BFG All Terrains [since November '00], and I was afraid that with the rain and possible snow, that I would get stuck and I'd somehow drift off the side of the trail into a ditch or something. I will probably buy either a Swamper spare tire or a BFG All Terrain spare. Either tire will be in the r15x33x10.5" size - I'm leaning towards the swamper because of the possiblity of getting stuck in some thick grime, and having a tire to pull me out...You never know.

HiKen, How is it going? My 31 inch BFGs made it!!!!! it was kinda scary in some points though.....Any they were also brand new.... I bought them an hour before I drove down to Los Coyotes....

Nerves of Steel!

You took that explorer places I never thought an explorer could go w/o major damage! You didn't even look phased by the whole run either! I was getting scared and Andrew was gritting his teeth in that tricky river-crossing. I have never seen that guy get scared before, and you just made it all look easy...It makes me feel pretty wimpy!

ken, you didnt notice that me passenger door has a 2 inch dent on the bottom...and the left side doesnt have a pich weld... :) I had a great time... i was just driving the wat the others guys told me too... when we did that crossing before we had to turn around, i almost rolled... you were in my truck!!!!!

Well here is One ranger Man for ya whats going on>? All Explorer Junkies. By the way i am looking for a set of 97 Explorer Chrome Rims, The Stock 16inch ones. Any ideas?

McRangerX

Hey McRanger,

I'll be traveling to the Motor City next month to visit relatives. BTW-I bought my Ranger in Lansing for $10,500.00 It was a great deal. Anyway, I'll be all over Michigan - Detroit city, Flint, Ann Arbor, Windsor, etc. The music scene there is incredible, and I'll be both in Downtown Detroit and Roseville stocking up on all of that Motor City Techno.

Here is mine. . .

Dead Link Removed

Went wheeling with a few of you Saturday.

Nice rigs but for the life of me I cannot see where you can put a yard of sheep and peet in those things. . .

FOUR WHEELER - Sept. 2001 [pages 8-9]

Although the cover of the Sept. 2001 issue features lift choices for Chevy IFS rigs, the table of contents features a pre-'93 Ranger ripping it up on the Oceano Dunes SVRA park in Central Cal. This Ranger looks as if it sports a
4 inch Skyjacker and 33" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws...
