HELP! I have to change the OD lock out switch on my console mounted shifter. 2007 Sport Trac.

Are there any instructions out there in how to remove the shifter know to gain access to the switch?

Thanks for the help.

Search for the threads with "shifter" in it. Tons of info with pictures. I upgraded mine to the Flex shifter. You need to pull down the chrome bezel below the leather part, it will expose a set screw. You'll need all your strength to do that, it sits there pretty tight.

Thanks for the reply. Will try that when the switch arrives.

Are you replacing the swtich in the actual shift knob? Or are you replacing the part that the switch plugs into? I didnt know the switch was available separately.
