P0301 rough idle no power (already checked spark)

4.0L 2003 Sport Trac. Like the subject says. Also, under the hood sounds like sucking air (or puffing out?) but not continuous. More like every stroke.

Hoping someone has an idea.

Sounds like you might have blown out a spark plug. check the spark plug furthest toward the front of the engine on the passenger side.

I pulled that one (and replaced) checking for spark.

Ok, could the compression and vacuum sounds be coming from the fuel injector area? Might be a good time for a video which shows the area the sound is coming from.
