P0430 code help

Well I'm getting the dreaded P0430 code with the "Check engine soon" light. It's an '03 XLT with the 4.0 V6, 174k miles. I recently replaced the intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gasket to fix a bad oil leak on the bank 2 side. Also replaced both the upstream and downstream O2 sensors but the light has come back on. Any thoughts that don't involve replacing the cats? Has anybody any luck with Cataclean?

If the catalytic covnerter is truly bad, can I get one of those universal catalytic converters for $100 or less and have a shop cut the bad one out and weld the new one in place?

As long as you dont live in new york or California yes you can use a universal cat
