Based on the troubleshooting in the manual, P0443 indicates an electrical fault with the Canister Purge Valve. The problem could be the valve, the wiring in the circuit to the valve, or (not likely) the PCM.
Here is the page that gives the resistance of the purge valve. The other pages are dedicated to checking for shorts or open in the VPWR and purge valve signal circuits.
Here is the schematic and location of the purge valve. They call it the Vapor Management Valve in the schematic, and the Canister Purge Valve in the Powertrain manual. No wonder the parts guy never seems to know what you are talking about.

What I did find that was close appears to be in line with the specs on this post, so I'm just going to get a new one with the hoses and be done with it (hopefully.
