I've had some stuttering on the highway when I was giving it some throttle, it was only interment but now it's getting worse, it's running rough. Ok maybe it's a bad plug or plug wire that melted on the headers. Changed all the plugs checked the plug wires and replaced one that was cracked. Still having the same issues. On the way over to my parents to work on it the check engine light came on, it's giving me 3 codes. P0155 and P1152 which are o2 sensor heater bank 2 sensor 1, and o2 upstream sensor rich. The weird part is it is also giving me the P1729 which is a 4x4 low problem. It's awd though so there is no low range, what else could it be?

The credit goes to double-d on this one, he was having the same problems with 4.10 gears and a 302 swap. We PM'd back and forth and he ended up swapping in a 4wd switch from a v6 and the code went away. The only thing I can guess is that it's some left over code from the v6 programming, or they were planning a 4wd v8 at some point and scrapped the plans.

thread but im desperate,
i know its an old
how did he wire it? my donor was a 2001 explorer into a 2001 sport trac ,both vehicle were 2wd. but the GEM modules on both vehicle are completely different.

so your 2001 sport trac RWD with a 01 5.0 RWD is giving you a P1729 code?
Is the check engine light on or the code was just found in memory?
