paint

Ok so I have a tan 2000 explorer XLT with tan interior... Now Im not gonna say i dont like that color just want a lil change and start to change it up a bit make it look different.. So i want to buy a hood scoop and decided why not just paint it... lol i say that now i donno how much it will cost... but anyway im not sure what colors would look good with this type of car, and should i get the scoop installed first?

And a round about how much do you think a good paint job would coast in New york? for those living here.
