I am looking for the rubber accordion type boot that goes over the parking brake lever when it enter the brake backing plate. Ford says they are discontinued. Anyone found and aftermarket source?

I can see the salt and slush entering the parking brake area in winter without this boot...

Hey, a fellow Ontario resident. :)

I'm not sure what you mean either, but I know there are quite a few scrap yards in the Waterloo area.

Agree with finding one at a salvage yard, especially for $75. Talk about price GOUGING. :fire:

The scrap yard vehicles are all missing the boot. The piece I am referring to is that lever that the parking brake cable attaches to goes through a rubber boot to keep dirt out of the parking brake mechanism. The Parking brake cable pulls on the lever when parking brake applied, and the lever can move... the rubber boot goes over it
