part question

I have this part and I am trying to figure out what it is. I recently had something go out and was not getting air to blow from my vents. I thought it was my blower motor, but I have traced it to this part, but what is it?? The white part on top I am assuming should spin on the axle, but it was broke off, and when I plug the part in I hear the vibration that I heard when trying to turn the heat on and the piece does not spin. I am assuming the motor inside is burnt up, so it needs replaced. If anyone knows what this is I really need to know.Any clue???

But it doesn't look nothing like the part that I ordered. I would think it would look the same. Here is the part that I ordered.......

Will that work as a replacent for this part??

That’s the blower motor but also the Fan Blades, or Squirrel Cage attached to it. The part you ordered may work if the motor shaft is broken but not if it’s the Squirrel Cage that’s broken. They fit together, depends on whats broke can’t tell from the pics.

the round vent looking thing (looks like a cage)that was inside the heater comes off and goes on the end of the other fan motor,, (round thing with the wires,)
it is usually held on with either a clip or a nut,, than you pull it off the shaft , and put it on the other motor, put the clip or nut back on, than put back in the hole that it cam out of,, just make sure the bolt hole line up, as there is a pattern,,
hook up the wires, and off you go,

ok....

I ordered the new fan wheel for this blower motor. Just one last question. I also ordered the retainer which hold it in place. But I noticed the old wheel had a retainer but also looks like they used some sort of bonding material to help hold the wheel in place. My question is should I also use something, and if so what would be best to bond it to the metal shaft? I have looked around and seen a few, but not sure what would be best, or if I should just use the retainer only? What do you guys think??
