i have heard that the m5od is not much stronger then the a4ld

its more reliable. Like 250 ftlbs of torque max. You can drive on them forever, you just might not able to shift into gear.

I'd Get the tranny remanufactored... in otherwords brand new!

The Slave cylinder, throwout bearing. Clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing should also all be purchased new. LUK GOLD would be a good brand. Centerforce would be even better

Get the clutch petal assembly and the master cylinder out of a junkyard.

The rangerstation has information on what you need to do with the wiring harness

Should try to find a wrecked 5 speed & take the parts from there.
The clutch & brake pedal is a single unit in a 5 speed
You will need the covers for the steering column
There's a blank plate that goes into the slot for the PRND section on the dash.
You will need a computer for a 5 speed
Shift boot
clutch fluid resorvor
Clutch lines
You will need the tailshaft housing that connects the back of the tranny to the transfer case. Different ones for 2wd & 4x4
5 speed flywheel
You will want to get that tranny rebuilt.

when my M50D tranny died 2 months ago i shopped all over for a replacment.

All the salavage yards wanted $800+ for a tranny with 130+k on it.

yeah right... like i would pay that much

i got a reman'd one for $750. Its got a 24k mile warrentee too.

you shouldnt have to pay anymore then that.

well my dad talked me out of the swap so this will be the 3rd tranny that this truck has had know. well anyways its only going to be a toy know, hello lincoln locker
