I just received this notification from "Tucson Off-Road"..

My fellow off-roaders,

This was a sad week for the off-road community. For those of you who don't
know we have lost one of the greatest trails in the Tucson area: Charoleau
Gap. The first and last three miles of The Gap have been graded by the
Forest Service and one of it's most famous obstacles, Kiss Rock, has been
destroyed. This was done behind the backs of the off-road community and we
need to stop this from happening again.

A member of Wheeling Arizona who goes by the name DUMASS has spearheaded
this situation and is actively working so that we will have a voice were
the Forest Service to try this again (and believe me, they will try again).
The Officers of Tucson Off-Road have pledged the clubs support and will be
doing everything they can to stop this from happening again.

The Arizona Daily Star has published an article about this situation on
their website and we have been told that the more comments that are posted
about this article the more likely they are to cover future events related
to this situation. The media covering future events is paramount to us
having a voice in the future. We ask that you register on their site (it
literally takes 5 seconds) and post a civilized response to this article.
The more comments the better.

This is OUR time to rally together and make a stand against the closure of
our trails. We will be actively attending future land use meetings and any
and all details will be posted on the forum. Please attend if you can,
every person attending makes a difference and helps our voice to be heard.
