I have 99 explorer sport with an sohc recently converted to manual with the m50d. Ive tried leaving the solenoids plugged in to fool the pcm but the tranny codes always come back. my question is which model/year fords will have a pcm that will be plug and play? ive been told that a 2001 ranger should work but finding parts up here in Ontario is tricky and time consuming. and another question does it have to be out of a truck that had an sohc or can I use an ohv computer. ive also heard I can reflash the pcm to manual. id like to know how to that seeing as I have a ford ids computer at work cause I work at afford dealer. thanks guys
