Wow, umm, wireless? Which part is wireless?

In the attempt to avoid direct wire of a camera and monitor using this--

The diecision was made to make it wireless, which required adding this

So "Wireless" by definition means "to triple the amount of needed wire"

All you need is a ground and a power. or a ground and a reverse light wire. all those that i have seen lke that require some sort of small wiring. i have yet to see a battery opperated unit (for the camera part)

Hey, does that Monitor come with a suction cup mount by chance? If not, Amazon has mounts that have clamp style grasps for it.

I put one of these in a expedition for a guy at Church.


Its a simple install but you are right. They might was well made it wired

I just put one of these "wireless" set-ups in my truck. That required additional wire because the wire wasn't as long as the bed and I wanted to put the transmitter inside out of the weather! Lol....Anyway, it works pretty well, but the reception does pick up interference from other transmitted sources. I was picking my wife up from an appointment and I could see the security camera screen from the nail salon next door!!
I think I will get a hard wired camera set up on my mountaineer.
