Phone as a key on an explorer

what's the chance of Phone as a key working on an 2020 explorer? seems like just a software on/off and the Lincoln has it

According to this article, there is zero chance. But then you never say never. "And Lincoln says the ‘phone as a key’ system will not be shared with the Escape or other Ford products."

I dont believe it to just be software. Yes software activated the feature but Lincoln vehicles were built with the hardware waiting for this to launch. The BT system has to stay alive in order to see the phone as you approach so it will unlock and allow the car to start.

It simply isn't happening on the Explorer.

You can do it though FordPass that is currently the only way your phone works.
