yeah the first ones you posted were not hubcentric.
Those are better but they still do not adapt the Explorers / ST's 70.5 hub bore to the Flex 67.1 wheel bore.
My 2000 Mustang had 708 to the wheels so I feel you on that, but I also tow a 22' ski boat with my sport trac so I feel better with the strongest parts in there taking all that load. I don't think it's a waste of money, but seems to be my only option to get these wheels to work properly anyway.
