photo shopped flex wheel on my ST - opinions ?

yeah the first ones you posted were not hubcentric.

Those are better but they still do not adapt the Explorers / ST's 70.5 hub bore to the Flex 67.1 wheel bore.

My 2000 Mustang had 708 to the wheels so I feel you on that, but I also tow a 22' ski boat with my sport trac so I feel better with the strongest parts in there taking all that load. I don't think it's a waste of money, but seems to be my only option to get these wheels to work properly anyway.

So what your saying is these will be hubcentric mounting to the trac but not to the flex wheel.

If that is the case I am not sure if it would be a problem since the trac has a larger bore you wouldn't have to machine it. I am also unsure if it not being hubcentric on the wheel will be a problem from a failure stand point.

no the steel custom made spacers will be hub and wheel centric with two different sizes to adapt the wheel to the explorer hub plus act as a 1.5 in spacer to make the offsets nice and flush.

I'll get this finished in the next week just have to decide on which set of rims I'm going to buy but I can't look at them till Monday then it will take a few days to make the adapters.

stay tuned I'll get some on :) I just have to decide on whether or not I want to put the roof rack back on with those wheels. IMO this is a inexpensive way to get some nice looking, larger, factory / OEM appearance wheels on the truck which is my whole point here.
