Thanks for looking!
We had hail damage and will be getting new house siding. It will be vinyl as it is insurance replacement.

Here is a front shot

Garage

And the "whole spread

Multiple angles have been provided for "feel" but if just one can be manipulated, preferable front shot, it would do the "trick"

What we want to do is add some "accent" by treating the gables on the house and garage, along with the flat wall and bay window above the front porch with a different "texture" and color.

The siding manufacturer is www.mastic.com

Main body of house will be sided in a double 4.5" dutch lap, sort of what is on there now

here is the "texture"

First color my wife would like to see on the main body

siding-colors-alcoa-english-wedgewood.gif

on this page they show "shakes" siding.

half round^^

shakes^^^

Color for accent is called "quiet willow"

cd65hr_hero3.jpg

We would also add shutters to the windows in the quiet willow color.

This is just a test to see what this would look like, and, yes, my wife might want to see it adjusted with other colors. As we drove around town we fond the "clay" color we have now was a trend, so, we want to do some color this time.

referring to the first picture of the front of the house, the "shakes" will be around the bay window, on the flat wall to the right of bay window, and just enough of the gable ends to surround the gable vents ( windows on garage)

all siding corners ( inside and outside corners) will be white instead of siding color.

I know I am asking quite a bit, but just roughed in will give us a good idea of what it might look like. Thanks a Bunch!

Thanks, I appreciate the comment, but our house is really quite "quaint" compared to a lot of folks. I do feel fortunate for a roof over my head --so it's all good.

Not bad for 59k though huh?

:D

No problem. It really wasn't that hard, and I saved the layered file, so if there are any colors you want to see, let me know. No names though, give me a swatch to match and that will be easier. :D

Well, since you asked--;)

We want to wrap the whole house with the double dutch lap--like it has now just a different color.

Only the area around the bay window-the small flat to the right of bay window and areeas around the gable vent to be treated with the shake look, and different color.

here is a pic I marked with "Paint"

above the yellow line in gable area, and the other yellow marked areas with the shake ( half round) in this color. Window shutters also to match accent color

cd65hr_tn.jpg

While the area with the red lines will still have the double dutch lap texture, however in this color

siding-colors-alcoa-english-wedgewood.gif

notice the gable treatment on this much nicer house--normal laps on the main house with half round tucked up high in the gable peak. This is what we are shooting at--

Sorry about the delay. Lat spring I had an accident in my garage which really set me back, and, my lovely bride had both knees replaced starting late spring. We just did not want to deal with it.

So far this year we haven't killed ourselves so I figured I would update with our results.
MLB picked the color. It's English Wedgewood. I think it makes the roof look lighter. Instead of using a fancy siding in the gables, we had the wooden window and door trims wrapped in metal.
