hey guys, I tried to modify the stock fake "vents" in my 2000 bumper today and had a little problem. I put the bolt to mount the 510s in the top of it and it doesn't clear the plastic when I try to remount the rest of the "vent" piece. If you guys know of an easier way to mount these babies, let me know!

If it is the bolt head that doesnt clear you could try a pan head bolt. I think that is what there called. It is basicly a bolt w/a flat head. You can use a hack saw and cut a groove in it so you can use a screwdriver to tighten it up.
If that is not what you mean I dont understand.
Maby a pic of where they go & dont fit also would help.

yeah, the bolt head sticking out is my prob. In the second pic you can see the metal things for the screws to go in. Well that is basically my limit on space there. The top (where the bolt is currently mounted) butts right up to another plastice part of the bumper.

If the pan head bold doesnt clear or at least be close enough to bend the plasitc to get it in you may have to notch the bumper plactic piece with a hack saw or something. How about a pic of where it fits in to the bumper.

I'll get a pic tonight, also have to post up the fun I had this weekend out in the woods!
