Picked up my Explorer

Well guys,
I picked up my Magnetic Explorer Sport this evening.
Unfortunately, in the middle of a little bit of snow, so the trip home was made with an abundance of caution. No issues with the trip home. Being President's Day, I took the back roads home instead of the highway. Figured that there would be less traffic that way. By the time that I got home, I'd say that there was about 1", maybe a little less on the ground. However, I'm hearing the snow plows outside, so I guess that there's more than that out there now.
One issue that I came across once I reached home. Normally, I back into the garage. I discovered that when I backed the Explorer into the garage, a bookcase prevented me from opening the door enough to get out, so I turned the vehicle around & nosed it in. This in in a detached garage. The garage door opening in the house garage is too low & the Explorer will not fit in there.

Is it just te front of the garage door it won't clear? On most doors you can make an adjustment to have it pulled back further. Congrats on the new vehicle. Now all that is left is to update your profile.

Yes, it is a low door (to the door frame, not only to the door itself).
When I had my '93 Explorer Sport & my '05 Ranger, I had to remove the radio antenna to get them in the house garage.

The new Explorer is even worse.

I brought it home at night on Monday during a bit of snow, Tuesday it was pouring rain outside & was running around doing errands, & I've been working Yesterday through Saturday this week. When I leave for work it's not light yet (sun's just coming up by the time I get to work), and it's dark by the time I get home.

Hi,

I picked up my brand new 2016 Explorer Platinum, black with the ebony black seats 2 weeks ago after close to a 6 month wait.

I must say I was very impressed with the looks and feel of the truck, inside out. It was well worth the wait. The seats are very comfortable, the sound system is awesome. The truck drives like a charm. Everything promised about this truck is even better than advertised. It just had the feel of a very high end luxury SUV.

However, with only 500km on it, I noticed that the heat did not work. I called the dealer and took an appointment to get it checked and repaired. On my way to the dealer, the heath gauge warning and check engine light comes on, I immediately pulled to the side of the road and stop and see this large stream of red fluid dripping all over - figured it was the coolant.

Brought it to the dealer, finally it was a clip somewhere that caused the coolant leak. It had completely emptied itself. Brought the truck at 9h30 am and the truck was ready at 11h30, so all in all great service from my dealer but needless to say I am now somewhat concerned about the quality control on this truck.

Aside from that, its an amazing SUV

I am not sure how to post pictures but It looks amazing ( but not so much on towing ! lol )

Do y'all find the explorer noisy at all? It seems to me to have a lot of road noise. It was the same in my 2012 Limited but I figured it would be better now. I

There is also one in the 'Modified' sub forum for 5th gen pics. The OP is interested to see pics with mods although it isn't restricted to that.
