Picking up a Dana 44 tomorrow ?J20?

I am pickining up a dana 44 to start gathering parts for my SAS. The axle is out of a 1984 J20 would this be a good canidate for my axle awap? I've heard that the J20 housing is weeker. Is this true?

Not weaker but it might be the the one with the CAD - which you probably dont want.
