pinging only in cold weather

my 94 x only pings when it gets about 45 out side and just gets worse....... just wanted to know if anyone has had this prob too thanks....

My '93 pings especially bad in cold weather. I suspect a leaky intake manifold, but haven't had time to replace gaskets yet...

if the engine is making a pinging sound
thats a good thing, that means you have a ford engine
