Try these part numbers...
XW4Z 4B431 BA Insulator, Front upper
XW4Z 4B424 BA Insulator, Front lower
1L2Z 4B425 BA Insulator, rear (2 req.)

I found them in our crash book that showed a nice exploded diagram of the rear axle/suspension assembly.

no, it's the means which the rear axle is held to the chassis. the front is the pinion nose, and the others bolt through the frame in the rear cover. i looked at a schematic on fastpartsnetwork and it doesn't show a p/n either. and this parts guy is good. i even had a 4 digit p/n (5638) and it didn't come up.

I went back and re-edited my original post. See if those work.

mike, i couldn't get ahold of the guy at parts so i'll have to wait till morning but you may have it.

question that i'm going to ask him i'll ask you too... why the discrepancy in his parts book, and the collision book you have? i've seen them for sale on ebay before but never thought that i'd need it to reference this?

another question... what about the rotunda tool used to remove/ install the bushings? rotunda wants $290 for the kit. is there another alternative

The alternative would probably be a hammer and chisel. Split the metal from the rubber and remove the old one in pieces. Then with a block of wood, tap the new one in. That's the way we do the GM FWD lower control arm bushings that always fail.

mike, those p/n worked. i'll keep this in mind next time when the parts guy can't pull something up... look in the collision book.

you don't by chance have duplicates of this book? i'll PM you.

PM sent. I don't have any additional copies yet, but as I mentioned, check with a body shop or insurance adjuster...They probably have some.

wow. what a task this was. if you don't need to, don't!! i got into the chore because i thought the nose isolator was mounted in the diff sideways (notches facing driver's and passenger side) whereas the manual says it should be front and back. so that started it all. but i couldn't tell if it was necessary, and i still haven't gotten the whole thing back together. just wanted to give the heads up that it ain't a pretty task. rotunda tools did nothing. used the sledge and chisel method for all 3.
