Pioneer crackling at high volume must stop!

I Just hooked up my 91 eb 4x4 with a pineer 4500 hu and Infinity component 5x7 when ever i turn the volume past 18 (which is my favority level) i hear a loud cracking or crackling. The HU also flickers when this happens. Maybe its the Power wire, should i run another wire to the battery. or the yellow one?

I think i can rewire my hu. The Pioneer deck is drawing too much amperage for the tiny 18awg wire. So the deck is "cutting out" when alot of power is used. Any thoughts?
