Im attempting to intall a Pioneer DEH 1500 cd deck into my 1991 Ford Explorer Eddie bauer edition. it previously had some sort of Kenwood cassete player. so i have wired the new cd deck to the factory harness but it does not play onto the speakers, however the cd player does turnon. I dont know if I have incorrectly spliced the harness wires, or what... I have heard that the explorers have factory installed amplifiers, that i would have to bypass, but i dont know where it is. I would also like to know if anyones has a proper wiring configuration diagram for the Pioneer DEH 1500... like what the wires mean. If anyone can help me that would be great. thanks!
Henry

You've gotta connect the remote turn-on wire for the amp to the remote wire on your HU. I believe the wire is blue on the stock harness and white/blue on your Pioneer harness. Amp is located in the rear right wheel well panel.

thanks man, it works now
