Which kind of leaf springs should I purchase?

Rear Leaf Questions

i have a 1994 4x4 Ex. the leafs go under the axle.
which part should i use?

part# 43-967
1991-2001 Ford Explorer Rear Leaf Spring - 4 Leaves, 1250lbs

part# 43-1159
Ford Explorer Rear Leaf Spring 4 Door - 4 Leafs, 1100 lbs

clearly, one says over and the other, under.
one is significantly cheaper.
the arch measurements are dif.
i'm assuming the arch dif is due to the axle. the under has more arch.

but, a bunch of what i've read said to use the 43-967 leafs.
my wallet hopes that's true. my gut says nah.

i'm thinkin' i gotta buy the 43-1159s.
whatcha think?

trying to keep it stock for now. learning as much as i can to maintain.
there is sag, been wanting to do this for months. ready to do it, just wanna be sure.

I would only purchase spring under axle springs. Less work. Typically you’d use a spring over with a front drop bracket lift or a SAS.
