plate vs. 2-way?

I saw these speakers on crutchfield and was wondering if any of you guys have had experience with plate speakers. Are these like component speakers? Would you get these or 2-ways instead?

component sets would definately be better than plates. also, i would rater just get regular 2 ways than the plate speakers. they really suck when it comes to midbass. there is only a 4" woofer which cant accurately reproduce mid to lower frequencies. with 2 ways you get a larger cone.

Plate speaker selection is very limited. Use 5 1/4" components or coxials instead.

Agreed! Plate speakers really take a chunk out of the midbass, they just don't have the frequency response to sound great... If I was you, I'd just get some 6 1/2's or 5 1/4's and either build or buy a set of adapters. Good luck!
