My '91 with 130000 miles has begun to sound like a diesel. Not just on start-up but all the time. The belt looks fine and with tension from my screwdriver handle I can't affect the diesel noise so I'm thinking it is not the belt. With the hood up it sounds like it is mid-to-rear engine but can't be positive. Not sure if the '91 has cam tensioner issue. Any thoughts as to how to proceed?
